I had that done a few weeks ago and had the same experience. It was the best sleep I’ve ever had. Woke up feeling fantastic.
Prior experiences using other anesthesia I woke up very sick to my stomach.

You simply don't need to eat much the day before the day before.

I had mine earlier this summer a few days after getting over the worst of a nasty cold. When I mentioned it to the NA, she said, oh you will be fine, unless you have a laryngeal spasm. Which I tend to have with post-nasal drip which I had more than enough of at the time. Still, it was a refreshing sleep, but didn't wake up high. Probably could have driven myself home.

The he “assistants” you’re referring to are certified registered nurse anesthetists, and make around $250k a year as base. They can make a lot a lot more if they are industrious.

You didn’t have propofol… maybe as an adjunct. You had general anesthesia and were intubated. That’s the standard for surgery.
Propofol can be the primary for minor procedures.

You have to be on a clear liquid diet the day before which means eating nothing while also taking the stuff to forcibly evac your bowels until your pissing out of your arse and your entire tract is empty.

I had that years ago and they had trouble waking me up. They had to bring my wife back there to try to wake me up. It was the best sleep I have had in a long time.

I had surgery yesterday and was given Propofol. Nurse Anesthesiologist put it in my IV and I was out like a light. Hell I don't even recall going out. Woke up back in my room confused as shite how I got there. 10/10 would do it again.

A colonoscopy is not done in an operating room, it's more of a shite show.

I bet 100 dollars you talked to an anesthesiologist and a crna did your colonoscopy.

the reason I remember it in detail, and really WGAF? is this, the anesthesiologist did talk to me pre-op, without a scrub cap on, when we got to the room for the procedure he had an LSU scrub cap on, I commented on it and he said, "your wife told me you played baseball at LSU, what years?" I opened my mouth to respond and the next thing I remember was the doc telling me everything went well, looked fine, see you in 10 years, again, who really GAF?

same here, the floor nurse put the IV needle in my arm and the anesthesiologist connected the tubing with the Propofol. There were only 3 people in the treatment room with me, the Dr, his assistant(I assume she was a nurse) and the anesthesiologist
