Bet $100 an anesthesiologist didn’t actually do your anesthesia. Probably a nurse anesthetist.

There was an anesthesiologist there during pre-op, but a nurse anesthetist put me under.
What’s funny is that I was freaking out about what I would say after waking up. Last time I had surgery was wisdom teeth removal at 18. I woke up flirting with the nurses and apparently flexed for them and said god knows what at that age.
I expected to do something similar but instead threw a few punches and shoved them away.

The medical center I had it done at had a shortage of CRNAs, so an anesthesiologist did mine

You aren’t asleep. It’s technically a forced coma, which is why there’s no sense of time passing.

They’ve done medical studies and found that people who received propofol during minor non-surgical procedures reported higher feelings of euphoria compared to people who received propofol for surgical procedures.
“Propofol--induced euphoria is more common in patients undergoing short or painless surgeries, such as gastric or gastrointestinal endoscopy (3, 10–12).”

You got the one with the happy ending, congrats on the free prostate massage.

sounds like you have a system with very low tolerance, which may or may not be a bad thing
I have a very high tolerance for anesthetics and it is a terrible thing to have. I woke up on the table when they were finishing taking my gall bladder out. And dentists often have trouble getting me numb and don't believe me until I jump in the chair and show them. A root canal I had was particularly horrifying.
But Propofol was awesome when I had my latest colonoscopy. The paperwork showed it was actually a drug cocktail with a smidgen of Fentanyl. The Fentanyl was a surprise.

Come to think of it, I’m due for my annual prostate exam. Thanks for reminding me

Can confirm.
Knocks you out in 2 seconds and then you wake up and feel incredible for the remainder of the afternoon. Like you just had the best sleep ever and you are in a great mood.

dang.
My doc told me to shite in a box and UPS it out. So I did.
Regarding waking up post being put under, I've done this twice and each time I'm a maniac. Pulling shite out of my arms and ready to fight the world. Don't have any idea why.

I don't get what that stuff is for, they say if you come back with positive to go get a colonoscopy

Exactly. That’s why you should just go ahead and do the full colonoscopy and get it over with.

I took 12 pills at 6 o’clock the afternoon before and the other 12 at 2am, I didn’t sleep all night. shite my brains out
Got to the clinic at 0630 was still shitting
I did the liquid prep. Took it at 5:30 pm, didn’t start working until 11 pm. Then it was Katie, bar the door. I was shitting stuff out I swear my great-grandfather ate. But by 8 am, I was pretty much flushed out.

why do they seem to have the hotties as assistants for this procedure?

I had a colonoscopy in December and this part scared the shite out of me (not literally, no pun intended).
Once the plunger started going down, I briefly thought about the fact that I could die during the procedure and might not ever wake up. Luckily, the drug is so powerful that I was knocked out before I could panic too much.

You were probably high from knowing someone put a tool in your arse while you were sleeping.

I've done the liquid, and the pills most recently. I think I'll do the liquid next time. The pills nauseated me really bad. Plus you still have to drink a barrel of water with either.
