I just bought a 4-pack of Choice NY Strips for $3.99 lb

I age my steaks anyway. Unless they smell off they should be fine. Might have been misprinted

i used to buy NY strips from Kroger for $3.99/lb all the time

since Thanksgiving is coming up, it's about to be 2 weeks in a row of rib roast/bone in ribeye for $4.99/lb

There's not much you can do with these honestly. They tend to be very thin, and poorly marbled. Your best bet is to use them in a manner where they aren't the center of the dish: kabobs would be a good idea.

the NY STrips from Kroger weren't thin but didn't have much marbling

would do stir fry, korean BBQ, or just grilled if i wanted flavor. usually it was just to get lots of protein for a good price on the skillet and it was nothing compared to the bone-in ribey for $1/lb more (when it is available). i can throw down with those

These are about an inch and have a little marbling. It is bone in, so there's that.

Strips don't have much marbling anyway.
