Mine snores like a bear. Not sure how someone so little can snore so loud. It's amazing. Not sure any size bed would be big enough to distance me from the snoring.

It doesn't help that I'm a light sleeper to begin with.

I didn't know they made a 9' x 9' king bed. I think i'm going to look into this.

I couldn’t deal with a queen bed my wife would be too close. King is night and day difference from a queen. Absolutely do the king bed.

Nothing wrong with having 2 beds in the bedroom.

My mothers parents had 2 beds in their bedroom and were married over 50 years.

The space difference between Queen and King is yuge. (Had a King. Nice. You can really spreaaad ouuut.)

The bedroom just has to accommodate it.

Quit your whining.

I have a hound that whines all night when not in bed but then rolls me out of bed by morning so they are right in the middle by morning.

If you’re not in her bed, someone else soon will be. Women want a man that’s going to cherish, hold, and protect her. Deep down she will not be getting these things with you in another room every night.

Oh please. She wants those things somewhere other than the bedroom, too. What she really wants at night- after you’ve cherished and loved her - is a good nights sleep. If you can get that together, good on you both. But if one partner is suffering from a bad nights rest, your spouse should be understanding enough to accept different sleeping arrangements.
What a shitty relationship you have if sleeping in a separate room led to infidelity.

Get a king-sized bed. My wife wakes up at the slightest thing (and she even wears earplugs), but being in a king-sized bed is like being in a whole other country. No matter how much I toss and turn, she has no idea it's happening.

I find other people's sleeping habits so fascinating

We have a queen bed and I sleep fine next to my wife. In fact, I probably sleep better with her next to me.

We even slept in a full sized bed for the first year of our marriage.

My parents have slept in a full sized bed for 50 years together.

Do any other OT'ers sleep in separate beds from their SO's?

Yes. My wife is an insomniac and is up half the night often. I snore so she does not even attempt it.

Many married couples sleep separately just for the snoring issue.

your family must be Mingo sized

No way me and my wife could sleep in a full comfortably for a year. We had to do it for about a month and it wound up with me on the couch most of the time ha.

Wife and I can sleep in a queen, but it is in no way more comfortable than our current king size bed.

However, we have our separate blankets and I sleep within what's essentially a pillow fortress

If that’s your attitude then why are you asking OT for help tough guy? If you don’t care she’s getting railed in the starfish by some random then is it really that hard to take a blanket across the house?

Why are you getting upset that he’s ok with his wife sleeping around?

That’s weird.

I'm 6'2", but my wife is 5'2"

I guess just neither of us care about touching each other in the night

I actually fall asleep most nights with my arm around my wife

I do that sometimes, then wake up thinking my arm is gone because I can't feel it anymore

that's like sleeping with a cat or dog next to you in bed.

Also over the long run has to lead to lower back pain
