Agreed. There was none of that last night. Just some great tunes in a packed Tiger stadium . A great time on a Saturday night.

So many terrible takes in this thread. I’ll address a few…
Venue too big - we didn’t have great seats but we were super impressed with the audio/video. Watched a couple videos we took and it doesn’t even compare to the actual feeling being there, it was electric all night.
Traffic-parked near pluckers and hit the interstate in less than 20 minutes
Weather- was legit perfect for the entire show, nice breeze.

All you miserable fricks missed out but we’re glad you weren’t there bc the experience was amazing without you.

I used to be a contrarian shite like you too.

Then I learned to stop worrying and love the bomb.

Last night, I and 120k others stole a little happiness from a bleak and uncaring world.

And no one gives a shite if you want to poo-poo on it from your high, holier than thou horse of sanctimoniousness.

I would much rather see a so-so act in a bar than a great act in an arena. The interaction with the crowd is what makes a great show.

I don't understand why people who chose to not go to the concert are concerned about the experiences of those who chose to go to the concert....?

What is that about?

Lots of people here say it's for instasham or fakebook. Yeah, there are some like that, I'm sure.

My wife and I do not have these "anti-social" media accounts and we took our two teenage daugthers, who also don't have any of these "anti-social" media accounts. We had a fantastic time belting out the songs along with the crowd, interacting with our fellow concert goers and being part of such a large gathering.

It's the communal experience, the atmosphere, that makes it worthwhile for us. A ticket was the cost of a good steak at a decent restaurant which eventually just becomes a turd, so we would consider it worth it.

We got paper tickets and my girls are already talking this morning about framing them. It's fun to see them have good fun. They could be sitting around at home scrolling through instasham or doing complete dipshite things like most kids are doing these days, but instead we "chose" to go to a concert.

We chose to go to a venue with other "people," aka. the original "social media."

All that, to say, why does anyone else care. Go if you want, don't if you don't. Super simple. Why question everyone's choices? Seems like a silly waste of time. Those who didn't go, posting on a board questioning everyone about why they "did" go makes those guys seem quite insecure about their life decisions.

I feel like this could be said for any concert not just Garth’s.

FWIW I don't go to anything larger than arena shows - and those are few/far between because of how few bands I like could pull that off.
I'm not big on festivals either because of how far back from the stage everything is and how much work it is to get up front to actually watch the musicians play instead of the screens that are focused on singers 90% of the act.
