I don't see how going to a concert where you have to watch it on a screen is fun

Seeing photos from Garth and sitting so far away in such a large venue seems like a waste of time and money. All you are doing is watching the screens they put up to see him. The people in the uppers just paid to listen to a live performance as there is no way they saw crap. It just doesn't seem like a good experience and only seems like the value of going for many is to say you went.

Same thing could be said about football games, etc.

Then what is the point of going? You can do that on Youtube. I think the value in going is a full experience that includes seeing the artist

I'm curious - another poster said he got tics for $50 - what did that get you at this concert? How much would it cost to get a tic where you could actually see Garth?

Well watching 22 people on a field is a bit different than one person on a 100 ft stage but yes you could make the argument.

No one above a certain level actually saw Garth. They saw an ant that was Garth

Found the one who hasn't been to big concerts.

Do you think the nosebleed sections can follow what's going on in a football or baseball game? Or maybe the experience of a sellout concert with everyone around you having a great time, singing along to songs and dancing is what makes it special?

Events like that concert aren’t for people interested in sound quality, it’s for people who don’t go to concerts and caters as more of a social event for people to post about on Facebook and Instagram.

football is a horrible analogy - I've been to lots of football games and watched from the nosebleeds and it was fine. A better example if the Final Four - if you get more than club level away the ball and players look tiny. In fact, in football it's better to be high up most times bc you can see all the stuff going on bc it's happening across 50 yards most plays.

Dont make assumptions. I have been to shows in large venues which is why I don't see the value in it unless I can actually enjoy the whole experience.

Yep because no way where the acoustics that great in an open stadium. So you have horrible visuals and sound. What fun!

It is fun getting drunk and signing and dancing with your friends. I get the feeling you don’t like those things though

Communal? Guess IDC about that. I go to concerts to enjoy the show. It cost me dearly sometimes to get tickets close enough for that but its a better experience that way IMO.
