The only three things I've noticed about this summer that have stood out was how long it took to get here (after Memorial Day) and the fact that we seem to have late afternoon and evening winds keeping the air moving a bit but no rain to speak of.

I personally don't notice a difference between 98 and 101 or 93 and 97. It's hot..thats enough for me so I if I need to walk 9 holes instead of 18 or take two breaks while cutting the grass instead of one I'll do so

its the nights and mornings that get me. I dont mind hot during the day but waking up and its 82 and feels like 90 is ridiculous.

Seems like the older I get the hotter the summer gets.
Here in SW Louisiana the temps have been around 93-95ish, but the damn humidity drives the heat index up to 106-110ish everyday.

You tried so damn hard to use as many overused TD cliches as you could, that your post makes absolutely zero sense

Nice job

If you look closely at the primary sun, you can see a second, smaller sun has sprouted. This happened in 2021. Ergo, it’s hotter.

Science, dawg.

Don't know when you grew up, but 1980 had 70 days of 100 degrees or higher, which is the most or 2nd most. I grew up on the creek, didn't bother me.

It was brutally hot in BR last year from around June 12-26 or so...then it started to rain damn near every day from the first part of July through August. That kept the temps down. The only difference between last year and this year is the lack of rain. That is what has always quelled the heat in the summer. Without it, temps would generally get as high as they are getting now.

That’s unusual, it looks great on the rest of us.

As far as the heat, I think it’s all relative to age, weight, and amount of time you spend outside and at what time of the day. This is easily the driest summer that I can remember. It’s mid-July, and I’ve never mowed my yard as few times to this point in the summer as this year.

When we bought our first house 2005-2006 (I can't remember) we had like 8 straight days of 100+ degree actual temps.

We thought something was wrong with the AC because it was 80 in the house. The AC guys that came out were from Texas they had so much work.

It's social media and government climate hysteria. We have a hot summer like this every 4-5 years or so.

I remember as a small kid when it rained in the summer steam was rising from roofs and the street. If asphalt and roof materials have changed in 50 years to prevent this activity, I don’t see a drastic change in summer temperatures between now and then. In Vegas this day last month it was 60 with large winds (night). I was a bit chilly.

In the early 90s a college professor told us that the earth would continue to get hotter because we're coming out of an ice age which takes millions of years.

you're fatter now, and more of a pussy than you were when you were a kid.
It was hot as shite when you were a kid, you just didn't care to complain about it b/c you were too busy having fun.
