Has mercury really changed that much in the last century?

Don’t care what records y’all dig up from 100 years ago when instruments were so much less accurate. Summers growing up in baton rouge were never as hot as what we’ve had the past two year
horseshite. I remember hoeing cotton in North La during the 80s in 100-degree heat.
It's hot, no doubt, but we've had heat like this before.

You're wrong OP. Just wanted you to know.

Historic temperature data says that your feelings really do not matter.

It wasn't that bad last year. It's abysmal this year. This is the hottest summer in at least recent memory.

Go get a sip out the hosepipe and toughen up a bit pal.

This is easily the driest summer that I can remember. It’s mid-July, and I’ve never mowed my yard as few times to this point in the summer as this year.
This. It felt like it rained damn near every day from the first of June until September last year .

If your pussy is that hot you might have gonorrhea.

Easily. And it’s not just here. I was in Texas for a week not that long ago and it was fricking BRUTAL in Austin. Had never felt that hot there and I lived there 4 years

No, not cool. That’s what he’s saying.

I grew up in Alabama in the 60s and 70s. My home had no air conditioning and neither did the school. It does get really warm nowadays but as long as I have air conditioning you won't hear me complaining.

Last June was comparable for the Baton Rouge area in both temp and rain. This July, though, is definitely hotter by about 3° on average.
Rain for the BR area YTD isn't terribly below normal. The NOLA area is headed toward significant drought. Rain has been extremely hit or miss from east TX across southern LA.

I remember last summer being mild and knew we would pay for it this summer.

It's hot as frick but you can't base it on even one lifetime. The planet IS getting hotter. There are actual scientists who study this shite through various means such as ice cores, ancient trees, sediment, etc. But nah, just listen to the baws on the OT who've "done their research" and say it's bullshite

Better let that thing run for 30 seconds or so to prevent third degree burns

I love the heat. I also love the cold. As long as I can prepare accordingly, there’s no season I’ll complain about.
Posted on 7/17/23 at 6:19 pm to trussthetruzz
You never paid attention until now because you were less affected. I vividly recall seeing temps over 100 on the old Schwegmann’s sign during football practice. I stay acclimated to the heat, it’s the third certainty in life after death and taxes…Louisiana will always be hot as balls.
