Sorry for your loss. She's in a better place, looking down and smiling.

I Bury My Mom In Two Days
I had to give the family part of the eulogy at my Mom’s funeral and that was one of the most difficult things I have had to do. I almost stroked out when I had finished and say down...things hit me then. That was about 8 years ago. I miss her greatly, daily, and in ways our family has come unglued since her passing. I’d like to say that some day you can just wrap the memories in a nice neat package and think of things whimsically when the time comes to recall them but that’s just not true.
There’s a tremendous hole in my heart from her loss…you don’t lose your Mom and not have a staggering effect. I do wish you the best in your coping and journey without her but it’s not an easy walk. God bless you and your family however!

So sorry for your loss. 64 is too young.

Lost my mom a couple of years ago, at 89. She was a big part of my sports-fandom, as my Dad was not as into competitive sports-- always more a hunting and fishing guy. She got tossed from a Junior High basketball game crowd at 85, where the refs sucked and were getting after her granddaughter.
You never get over losing your Mom-- but cherish those great memories.

So sorry to hear about your mom’s passing, Liz. It sounds like you have some fine memories of her to hold onto as the years pass. You and your family will be in my prayers tonight.

I feel for you man. My dad is 64 and we just transferred to hospice. Cancer is everywhere. 2 weeks ago he had 8-12 months. He now has 1-3 days. I was driving him around getting his affairs in order less than a week ago, walking and talking, then Saturday morning, a freefall.

Been there, done that........ You never get over losing your mother.
Unfortunately, you are in a group of TD members that know that pain.
Godspeed my friend.

So sorry for your loss. I lost my mom in 2006 when she was 70 and you are so right that is so young. At least I had my daddy until he was 89. Lost him in 2023. Definitely in my thoughts and prayers
