Rome's founding myth was Romulus and Remus suckle by a wolf. Romulus was the stronger and killed Remus... so we got Rome and not a weaker Reme.

More likely, she was taken to Greece back with Menelaus. The Aeneid is basically a made up story to give Rome an epic founding novel. It's a pretty good book, nonetheless.

I'm fairly certain she got back with Menelaus in the story.

Funnily enough, you can see the anachronistic values on display in the movie when Paras runs from Menelaus during their duel. In the film, Helen nurses Paras's wounds and says she doesn't want a warrior but someone she can grow old with. In the epic poem, Helen calls Paras a coward.

That was Aeneas in the Æneid by Virgil. Aeneas almost killed Helen in Troy during the sacking of the city, but ultimately left her there.
