If it’s your first issue, merely address that with the judge and ask for lenience. That often works.

Does Calcasieu Parish report moving violations to the Office of Motor Vehicles, therefore adding it to your driving record?

Some parishes and small towns don't, and if that is the case, pay your $200-ish dollar fine and walk away otherwise unscathed.

Just kidding, thank you for your efforts in this moot echo chamber. I'll never upvote you, but I have to say..."you start a conversation".

I got a 75-60 on 210 last week. I called the DAs office and set up for a traffic diversion program. It's a $125 online driving class. Then it goes away.

No, you don't. You can just pay the fine.

Call the courthouse and ask for a diversion.

Back in 2013 I got a ticket for speeding in a school zone in NOLA

The school had not reopened since Katrina but the city never took the signs down.

I tried to call the city ahead of court date. They would not call back.

Went on date I was assigned. When I was called up I told the judge. The judge laughed, checked the address, and dismissed the case.
