Do I need to stay woke here in NOLA?
Don't worry the National Guard staying woke. Not much else, but Woke none the less.

Cone shifted way west for being this late
Which lines up with the global models.
The cone methodology makes it a little misleading for a storm moving this fast. A shift closer to New Orleans has always been a real possibility because the NHC was sitting east of their best models.
It's really only a few miles, but makes a big difference in this case.

You drained your pool? No concerns for uplift?

NOLA still looks to have missed the worst of it. I don't see much more room to go farther west than this advisory has it.
This is still mainly a Miss coast and Mobile storm. A west shift just changes the focus of most concern toward Biloxi instead of Mobile and just west.

Storms always weaken when they get to that bit of water right off the Louisiana and Mississippi coast.

What else is there to do but drink? Football, booze, and a hurricane....it’s all part of living on the gulf coast.

I'm at Henry's uptown watching the game. Mitch isn't taking me out of here if LSU wins
