Lili, Ivan, Katrina, Gustav all weakened when they hit the shallow, cooler channel right off the northern gulf coast.

Yes, gone from NNW to a true N heading.

Radar shows Nate quickly eroding on the west side. Shear, forward motion, and maybe caught a little dry air looking at that intense band flowing out.

Good look for NOLA. Suggests the push N and NNE might be close too.

Nate was never able to fully close off the eyewall and it looks like dry air has finally over whelmed the western portion of the circulation. Should start moving north pretty soon as the center is now due south of the mouth of the River.

Sorry gents, I've been enjoying the cripple fight on the LSU Score Board.

Looks like the due north turn may have started...

I'm at Henry's uptown watching the game. Mitch isn't taking me out of here if LSU wins

I wish I was out. Drank at home, can't drive. For whatever reason, I don't remember Henry's from the 1980s and 1990s. What was it called before?

Just wanted to step and say good luck and stay safe everyone. Irma knocked my power out for 3 days and flooded the family Florida vacation house. Hurricanes suck. God bless

I don't see it, but I'm half retarded. I keep seeing people on storm2k saying it turned, but posters posting coordinates that disprove that. I'm so lost.

Nice! I used to live in that first block of Soniat on the lake side of Magazine.

That's awesome, I love this area of the city. Probably one of my favorites.

Not ready to call that yet, but the last few frames suggest you're probably right that the N move is on.

I think so too.

On another note, I'm a little drunk and about halfway through smoking a brisket, so it's bound to get worse. If I get banned on the Score Board, hopefully one of you will vouch for me in the next reinstatement thread.
