Nothing from Liz yet? I know nurse and tiger91 possibly has her Facebook.

there would be 5 feet of water. Two hours later.....nothing.

CAn any guru expalin to me how Katrina's storm surge was grossly underestimated , whereas this storm the surge appears to be overestimated?
And not to mention how did Mississippi get 20 + feet of surge for Katrina, and almost nothing so far here?

Is it a geography thing where Katrina steamrolled directly to the northern gulf coast for a couple of days, where this storm sort of took a right turn and hit the shoreline?

Has there been a thread yet showing all the despicable POSs looting shoe stores? Wasn't sure if admins already deleted.

CNN Meteorologist says Irma eye is full of birds

from what i understand it is, birds get in the eye since it's calm and just fly with the system until the find shelter

Well, for starters, Irma hit Florida not Mississippi.

Couldn't resist.

Fish - There are independent claims adjusters out there on storm duty. Some get paid a percentage of the claims they adjust. In onther words, it's in their financial interest to settle as quickly as possible, which means giving the customer a fair settlement, not penny pinching them.

I also had a friend who was a State Farm adjuster. When on storm duty he said he'd try to be more than fair to the customer. He had a ton of customers to see and the company wants to be able to
Say it settled X claims in Y days.

There's no doubt that some people get fricked, but others make out like bandits.

But yet, they think that all people lye and yet they think they know it all. Yep, going to lawyer up again the second time in my life to prove they don't know shite.

I have heard of birds in the eye quite a few times. It's really strange to think about.
