I'm supposed to be in the Bahamas on the 14th. Looks like there may not be a Bahamas by then

No way, huh? All those models show it moving through basically in a day.

ETA: if the 2 dropsondes in the center (#s 2 & 5) mark the exact spot of the eye (as they should)... that means the storm is still very much headed SW

Speaking of the absurd.
HMON wants to shatter record for deepest low recorded on Earth.

Should level off tuesday and begin its turn wednesday if these things are accurate, This basically just confirms what the models are thinking.

Even hurricanes hate Florida.
That last second track due North is crazy. It's like she's headed straight for Florida and then says "nah frick that".

At some point you have to think these ridiculous numbers might verify, similar to Harvey rainfall totals.
HMON takes it to 857 and 187 mph. HWRF takes it to 911 w/ 165 mph winds.
That is concerning.

Theres a 900 mb running through the Bahamas and then there's getting a pressure lower than Tip. The signal is for a powerful hurricane, likely a Cat 5 by that point.

Very much headed SW, especially the last few frames:

dropsonde #8 may mark a bit of a W wobble

I agree it is a stretch, but I'd also think the models don't just send it to 857 for the hell of it.

I still think this storm ends up hitting the Georgia-South Carolina area.
South Carolina has been relatively lucky when it comes to major hurricanes since 1989.
It is only a matter of time.
