You are aware there are a couple seasoned meteorologists in here?

I've thought of that image since this storm is going right through all of the favorite cruise destinations.

FTR, Peej is NOT one of them.

He makes it seem like the GOM isnt very likely at this point (knock on wood) but also goes on to say that the way the troughs are setting up over the US/east coast makes this one particularly difficult to forecast.
This is basically where we sit now and have been for the past few days. Levi's videos are a great resource for putting the more complex parts of hurricane watching into layman's terms.

He wouldn't say it last night, but I felt like he was thinking that way. I think what he meant even last night by "difficult to forecast", was where it would land on the east coast. It changes almost every run.

He knows there are. He was saying if you want to have it explained it to you a little more simply, those videos are good for that.

Can seas even get to 55 feet? What does that even look like?

Mike Bettes?Verified account @mikebettes 4m4 minutes ago More Not liking what I'm seeing with Hurricane #Irma forecast trends. The east coast needs to be on alert. This could get bad.

I can't read through all the comments. Is the gulf coast out of the equation?
