To be honest US doesnt need Miami landfall. Supplies are already short due to Harvey.
You realize that 14 million people will be effected between both storms if Miami landfall happens?
Like where are we getting money?
Not to mention we are forgetting about our SC brethren which might take it up the arse too.

That's what I've been saying.

There's dumbasses on twitter posting Google map images of Mar-a-lago and saying they hope Irma hits it directly.

I can't think of the last time a significant Hurricane really impacted the area from Jacksonville to Miami. I think the one last year that hit Port Canaveral was pretty weak if I recall.
Think harder. It was less than a year ago. Matthew. True, the damage was not widespread but the areas from Palm Coast up to GA got hit HARD, particularly around St Augustine. I know people who lost everything and more who came close. It was BAD, but no one seems to remember except for people around the area. The national media portrayed it as a near miss, well it certainly could have been worse but for some it was by all means a dead on hit.

You have a link for the call signs of the hurricane hunters?

It was, but the latest GFS is a slight shift back West.

While Irma gets all the attention, Jose is quietly nearing hurricane strength.

Looks like they're doing a quick turn to return to JFK. Can't imagine there were many people on the outbound to SJU outside of crew.

Still too early to really tell, but the Navy is showing that one on a more southerly route and hitting Mexico.

I totally agree with you but I would add that that the US doesn't need any landfalls at all. I certainly don't want Miami/Coral Gables/Islamorada/Key Largo/Key West/Marathon/etc to get hit with this storm but the track in my opinion just seems to have its these places dead set in its track.
The last thing the US needs is to have two major ports (Miami and Houston) not operating at 100% either. Would be devastating for the US economy.

I'm predicting a direct hit between Coral Gables and Miami

The supplies will be tough for a few weeks but money isn’t an issue for the US. Of course I hope this misses the US but if anything this will be good for the economy in the long run.
