Where on the Northshore? Slidell will be rather brisk. Hammond my not get much of anything if this verifies.

Unless you don’t normally go to work when the sun is shining

Mandeville/Covington area. I just don’t want to go over there and then get stuck for longer than I am supposed to be there.

So the eye has now collapsed?

it'll come back. impossible to keep up a core that small.

It will probably pulse for a while, I think it is actually already reorganizing.

East of last run, might be east of all the other majors now. UKmet, Canadian, and GFS had Louisiana landfall. Leads me to start leaning into a Hancock County type solution.
Also, pretty weak and doesn't show much strengthening as it crosses the Gulf. The 12z global models aren't really showing a favorable environment for strengthening. It will be interesting to see what changes happen at 18z.

Asses better start puckering up.

The models have been pretty poor on projecting when it intensifies so far.

Looks like it's moving into a large area of the Gulf with no shear...WDYT?

As quickly as it’s going to negotiate the open water, surely it won’t have time to get any stronger than a cat 1. It’s supposed to make landfall in less than 36 hours.

This should make flying into New Orleans at 6p tomorrow a lot of fun

Euro has Florence trending a westward beeline to the east coast beginning on 9/11 and significant landfall Florida/ Ga. on 9/13 or 9/14

Harvey went from “disorganized depression” to cat 4 in 48 hrs.

True. However, if this wasn't near radar with recon flying in it, then this cycle could have totally been missed. It might be a sign of things to come or it could be a transient feature and the core may never look that good again.
