The mental gymnastics of sports betting (all gambling) drove me insane. Checking my phone tirelessly, betting on games from 11 til 1am, and the forever roller coaster of money swings.

That juice is the action.

Clearly get a divorce. Even having to worry about this sounds miserable.

I just thought this was an interesting tweet from Texas Dolly last night:

I've bet every Super Bowl ever played. My smallest bet was 20k. My biggest bet was 200k. I usually bet the underdog, including this year. Go 49er's.

Never chase bets. That's like rule one.

Tell the wife and get ready for march madness.

if that fails, by chance, quadruple down. Speaking in terms of probability you would almost be guaranteed to win.

Just keep doing double or nothing until you eventually win. It’s foolproof.

Fly to Vegas and play blackjack using the Martingale method. Buddy of mine killed them on Saturday. He also had 15K on the over for the SB-lol!

Still ended up around 7K. Diamond status achieved after only 6 hrs playing BJ.

Thanks for clarifying. The use of personal pronouns 8 times made it very confusing.

and just so you leave nothing to chance, make the bet while driving in your car at a speed of at least 110mph

I lost a good bit of money on sports gambling throughout the past few weeks. I tried to win back some of it last night with the super bowl. Needles to say, i'm in an even deeper hole. My wife knows i gamble on sports, but she thinks it is very minimal. Is it time to fess up and let her know what i have lost, before i dig the hole deeper and deeper? Is it time for one big bet to get myself out? Asking for a friend.

Time to risk it all. There is really no downside at this point. If you tell her your marriage will fail regardless and you will end up homeless, since you're the man.

If you win though, then you get to divorce her and find what you've always deserved

I seriously wonder how some of you get yourselves dressed in the morning. If you're scared to tell your wife you lost some money gambling, maybe you shouldn't be gambling, or maybe you shouldn't be married, or maybe both.
