How to tell my wife I lost a good bit of money on sports gambling lately

I lost a good bit of money on sports gambling throughout the past few weeks. I tried to win back some of it last night with the super bowl. Needles to say, i'm in an even deeper hole. My wife knows i gamble on sports, but she thinks it is very minimal. Is it time to fess up and let her know what i have lost, before i dig the hole deeper and deeper? Is it time for one big bet to get myself out? Asking for a friend.
