Wait you lost 2.5k, less than 20% of your take home monthly means you take home 150k after taxes.

No one is going to know about 2500 in that scenario. If your take home was 50k it's one thing. This is a non-issue. Just don't do it again. And yea, 5K may have to report things

Walk into a casino, find a wheel, bet it all on black... One spin one shot...

And then go to a gambling addiction service.

You're worried about this? Just make a payment plan with your bookie. Give him a couple hundred dollars then ignore him til he asks for more. Just keep it up until you're done paying it off. This isn't the 80s dude. No one is coming to break your legs.

This whole thread was just a VERY subtle "I make 6 figures" brag thread

You need tell her man, obviously you have a problem. It might just be a small problem at the moment, but it could possibly grow to something that’s uncontrollable. I had a friend that lost everything, including his wife, house, and cars. Guy lost hundreds of thousands of dollars, started off as something small and turned into a monster he could no longer control. Tell your wife, get some accountability, and never look back.

I remember when the casinos in St.Louis were new, i would hear all kinds of stories from the pit bosses and floor people about a Husband or wife coming in mad as frick, and claiming casino swindled 50K, 75K from their wife/husband and this and that. They were broke, cleaned out.

Those bells and whistles can hook people in minutes.

Chasing can be the worst play in gambling.

Yes sir, it’s nasty and obviously OP is a little too invested. He needs to cut his losses and never look back.

You might as well tell her. Longer she don't know, the worse it gets.

lost a good bit of money on sports gambling throughout the past few weeks. I tried to win back some of it last night with the super bowl. Needles to say, i'm in an even deeper hole. My wife knows i gamble on sports, but she thinks it is very minimal. Is it time to fess up and let her know what i have lost, before i dig the hole deeper and deeper? Is it time for one big bet to get myself out? Asking for a friend.

Damn i guess you bet Clemson then?

Ouch, I finished around 9800 up. By the far the most I’ve ever made betting and doubt I’ll ever do it again. I’m don’t really ever bet anything over 300. My goal is usually to break even and entertain myself on random games
