I'm actually in the same boat OP, so thanks for asking this.
I'm 42...so I guess a colonoscopy would be a good idea anyway for me at this age.
Anyone else got anything useful to suggest?

Why would a vasectomy be free under a health insurance plan? A vasectomy doesn’t have a long term health benefit like a colonoscopy does. The purpose of a vasectomy is to prevent you from having to pay child support for 18 years, which is not something that the health insurance company is going to care about.

Chiro here in town has a massage therapist. You just have to see him twice before he can refer you to getting massages. Every year after hitting my deductible I go once a week
To the OP, you need to be at least 40 years old to get a colonoscopy if you are asymptomatic (and high risk).

Go to the dermatologist and get skin and moles checked. They always seem to find something on me that needs to be frozen or cut off.

It is. I found this odd since they didn't weigh me. The audit says they use best judgment. I found that ridiculous.
Too bad we can make people's health premium costs based on their overall health. I believe obese should have higher costs.

Insurance isn't going to cover a colonoscopy unless there is a diagnostic necessity from his presenting symptoms.
Even with a family history of colon cancer he would have to be 40+ to have it covered as preventative care.

Neurologist, cardiologist, ENT, dermatologist, orthopedist, podiatrist, etc. Figure out if something is bothering you and go make an appt with the doctor. Maybe physical therapy, chiropractor, blood work? I hit my deductible after an ER visit two years ago and think I saw most of those docs

Forced by who? I think it’s been over 20 years since a documented rabies case in a domesticated animal in Louisiana. Did animal control try looking for the dog to quarantine to monitor for signs of rabies? Did your doctor consult LDH for guidance to see if doing the rabies vaccine schedule was absolutely necessary?

Get checked for cataracts. Even if you're not symptomatic you probably have clinical signs already and will eventually need the surgery.
