Same. I don’t like that but I can’t tolerate the Live, Laugh, Love karen shite. One has already fallen off the wall and split. Another one may spontaneously combust soon.

Ignore it. Decorating is their thing. Fights over petty shite never end well.

DON'T!!!
It is not worth it. I promise you it is not worth it.
I'll send you my souvenir t-shirt from my experience.
Just tell her to stay the Hell out of the garage. Not even kidding.

I mostly don’t get too much pushback but he vetoed both the area rug and the coffee table I wanted.
The rug was abstract and looked kinda like a painting or something. He said it looked like someone threw up on the rug
The table was one of those that looks like a tree.
Kinda like this
I don’t remember his comment on that.

The weathered look is the worst thing ever. shite's gonna go out of style and you're gonna be left with perfectly good furniture that you have to toss out because it looks fifty years old.

Same thing with weathered flooring.
IMHO, flooring is worse. It would be easier to refinish the furniture than the flooring.

Listen man, she's put sweat, emotion and a lot of time in that. She's proud of it, trying to impress you and you're going to show disproval?
You might as well buy some "kick me" t shirts to wear around town. Suck it up, do like men have done forever and roll with it.

I’d like that table if it had better legs. Those legs on just look trashy and cheap.
My wife knows my stance on those stupid boards with words on them. I don’t need a big piece of wood that says “EAT” on it in the kitchen. Slowly I’ve gotten her to hate them as much as I do.

Give your wife attention

Come to realize that women are better at decorating than men. Do you want your place to look like a bachelor pad? Women are nesters. It’s what they do. Put some trust in her taste. After all, she chose you. I let my wife out what she wants. Glad she does. Our house would look like crap and not in style. Trust her to know. Styles change and so will what she does to your place. That’s just the nature of the beast. When I was single, I wished I had someone to put some style and taste in my pad. Be thankful you have a good one. If she lives there, she should have some say. TRUST HER on this one. Stay in your lane. Happy New Year!!

Decorating our house is my wife's thing and I let her do whatever she wants. She usually doesn't mess with my office or the garage.
If she asks my opinion on some cabinet colors or counter tops, I'll give it to her.

One of my drift wood shelf pieces. Got a brass rod from Lowe’s and cut a few legs.
Note: she picked out the patio table.

Well you already did the most important thing: admit that you are beaten down and your wife runs the house. That’s the hard part.
The next step is to ask for your own room in the corner of the house. Call it a man cave if it makes you feel better. Here, you can decorate as you please. Common suggestions would be signed jerseys off your favorite teams framed. Neon beer signs. Signed baseballs or footballs. Pennants. Banners. You get the drift.

Let me save you the trouble, and just don’t.

Yeah, they're proud of this stuff and trying to impress. I don't care about "decorating"
Some compliments go a looong way, but crap on something they've invested their whole being into and theyll never forget it.

This thread reminds me of the episode of Cheaters that was on a few days ago. When the wife caught her husband, the other woman said “Wait. You’re his wife!? He told me his house looked like that because he hired a decorator!”
Good stuff.
