Probably this.... although I really never cared how my wife decorated the house (it actually led to fights such as 'how do you not care which decorative pillow is on the bed').... i mean if you have the money to do it and it keeps her busy then whats the problem?

A benefit of having cats in the house is that we would be unable to have that hideous looking pots and fake plants.

I take shite out of the yard, off the beaches, off the railroad tracks...and just put them on the shelves without doing anything to them. I’ve prepared a few things by putting legs on it or grinding it to sit flat, but mostly I just bring it in the house. My wife’s thrown a few things out, but mainly because it’s rusty and just sheds metal every time she moves it.

She’ll say WTF is that, and what are you doing with it...it a decayed cross tie and I’m mounting a bracket on it to hang on the wall. I can feel a disapproving look, but I don’t glance up to verify.

Because most have shite taste and don’t realize they’re tacky.

I can’t imagine one of us being afraid to say something like this. Couples who don’t have that kind of rapport intrigue me.

my husband and I have discovered over the years we have many friends and family members who do not communicate. It is mind blowing.

Get over it, tell her it looks great and get your dick sucked.

Which do you want more, blowjobs or your house decorated differently?

I was faced with this dilemma about five years ago, and I simply suggested that we hire an interior decorator that will help blend both of our tastes and styles. My wife was constantly paying for stuff that didn't coordinate with what she envisioned in her head and I hated it.

To be completely honest, I don't care what our house decorations look like. Unless she paints every wall orange it doesn't really matter to me. When I was single every wall was khaki and there wasn't a single decoration or picture on the wall

You give off a gay vibe. Not saying you are but if every woman on Earth suddenly died I don't think it would be long before you found someone to hold you at night.

I give her my opinion if asked but I pick the fights worth fighting and decorating the house usually ain't it

It would take extremely bad decorating for me to fight this battle but burlap curtains might reach the threshold. I'd have to see them just on that unlikely chance they might be cool. But they sound horrific.

I could see my husband agreeing with this.

We had a party recently and I fussed because he got dip on a placemat. He said if you say that again I will light them on fire as a joke. At that point i realized if I went out and bought as many new placemats as I wanted he would not notice or say anything. I learned to shut up and just buy new things that day.

Recently my wife has been doing a ton of home “improvement” projects for our bedroom. She made a couple of bedside tables from shipping pallets, sanded the frick out of my wall for a “distressed” look and has been making curtains out of burlap. The last straw is putting this fricking thing over my tv.. how do I stop this.

First, when she's is sleeping or taking a nap you have to sneak in real quite like and being as careful as possible get your balls out of her purse and hope they are still able to be reattached. If they're not, you're fricked. If she wakes up and catches you, you're fricked. But look on the bright side, sound's like you're already fricked so it may be worth a shot.

P.S. before you attempt this please let us know where to sent the flowers in the event of your inevitable failure.

I really didn't care that much either, but when so much money was being wasted b/c she couldn't "pull her vision together" I just got tired of seeing it. I stepped in to stopped the financial hemorrhaging for the most part.

The weathered look is the worst thing ever. shite's gonna go out of style and you're gonna be left with perfectly good furniture that you have to toss out because it looks fifty years old.

Same thing with weathered flooring.

I don’t mind telling my wife something looks like shite. Sometimes you just gotta be an a-hole. Get it out in the air, argue about it, compromise, and move on.
