All you Disney fans out there, what am I doing wrong? My wife is with me on a work (and fun) trip to Pasadena and Anaheim. While I work on Friday, she wants to go to Disneyland. So we look around for a 2-park, one-day ticket and it is $169. What the frick? How can people pay that shite?

I am probably not going to win any friends among the Disney lovers out there, but I fricking hate Disney. frick you Disney! There is no fricking way your park is worth that much.

I got dragged to the shite-hole in Orlando in February 2013 and it was 92 fricking degrees, and crowded as frick. But I think we paid like $70 or $75 each back then, per day. Which I thought was high, but sort-of expected that from gouging Disney. How is it four years later and it is WELL-OVER TWICE that amount?

Sorry for being so gruff.. if you love Disney, to each his own. I fricking hate it, and this is one of many reasons why. Thanks in advance for any tips... and if you think I am an a-hole.. ehhh.. I'm not gonna argue. frick you Disney!

Blue Bayou charges about 40 dollars for adults for a single day

seems like theres a proper buffer between those two products

It's always expensive around Rose Bowl time. The teams and their fans visit and costs are increased.

I don't know for sure, but perhaps this carries over into the 1st week of January. Just a guess.

$169 isn't that much for Cali bro. Everything is expensive out here.

I'm pretty sure DisneyWorld is much cheaper than that. I love Disney and I could easily afford it, but I'd never pay that much for one day in a fricking theme park.

I assumed location had something to do with it, but it was only a hundred bucks to go to Universal for a day about a year ago.

Also like someone else mentioned.....the whole Rose Bowl thing would likely make this a peak time for them.

I agree with this entire statement. We can afford it, but it is the principle behind being gouged like THAT for an amusement park.

And I feel bad to think that a middle-class family of four (2 adults, 2 kids) would be spending, I guess, over $525 for ONE DAY of tickets alone. That is insane.

it's priced as something you go to once a year... if they charged too little you'd be able to tell

Now you have gone and done it. The OT Disney cult will be along to burn you at the stake in the morning.

Try going with just the one park instead of a park hopper. I agree, disney prices are out of control. I went to disney world in nov, 125$ for one day in one park. For a family of four or more that's some serious cash.
