I went to UNO my freshman year and flunked out. But my apartment was the shite. I lived on St Charles and payed $650 in 2004. Same apartment goes for $1300 now.

But for real college I lived in 2 places in Ruston. First was a 2 story house for $700 but I moved to a house my buddy’s dad owned and it was $900 with all bills included even internet at the good direct tv package. That house makes me nostalgic for college.

cable bill being $150

She must have all the premium channels then. My bill *today* is $95 and that's in DC where everything's pretty expensive.

My rent at the highest was 450. The spoiled rich girl I was friends with had a luxury apartment for $950. Your friends daughter must live in New York of San Francisco

I had a 3bdr on Caddo St. by the golf course back in 2004-6 for $650. It blows my mind at what prices are now.

$272/month for each roommate at the Commons on Burbank in 2000, we lived in a 4 bed, 2 bath. Then I think ~$750/month total for a 2 bed, 1 bath at Place Duplantier in 2001. The rest of my time in Baton Rouge was spent in a condo my parents bought for me and my sister. They now rent it out for $1200/month for a 2 bed, 2 bath.

Yeah, it was a while ago...but it was cheap even then.

$600.00 split 2 ways for a 2BR, 2BA apt on Magnolia in Auburn right down from Toomer's Corner at the beginning of what was fraternity row back in the early 90's. At that time a few had moved out to new fraternity row out off of Wire Rd. Never had to go far to find a party or food. Apt bldg was right next door to Dominoes and Arby's, half a block from Mickey D's, and about a half mile from Momma Goldberg's.

7 bed 5 bath 3 story house my sophomore year ran me about $225/month back in 2012. This place was a mansion, but was also over 100 years old. Appliances were updated, and it had central ac, but the interior of that house took you back in time. No carpet, 100% wood floors. All my roommates came from out of state, so I’d be by myself most holiday breaks in this old creepy house that creaked at night.

I had friends who lived in a place like that while they were at La. Tech. It was pretty cool except for the epic mice infestation.

I split 3br houses 3 ways for $1200/mo in Lake Beau Pre and Southdowns about ten years ago at LSU.

This happened on a corner where you had to slow down a lot. Two dudes jumped in front of my car, one jumped on the back and the other on the side reaching through the window. He was using both his hands to hold on and that's what kept me from shooting. I had a gun in his face and he was just screaming at me to shoot him. Scared the frick out of me

$625 split 4 ways for a 3br 2ba in Tiger Plaza back in the day. We had a great place cause we would go sit on our balcony at end of the night and watch the fights behind the Tiger and Snorkels and the car wash. Fred’s for $1 juice drinks.
