re: VHS tape transfer to DVD

Do it yourself! I use this:
Elgato Video Capture
You can do some simple editing with it or get an editing program. Very easy. I transferred all our home videos and put them on my YouTube channel for the family.

Auto Expert Needed

Posted by jctiger73 on 4/17/25 at 4:56 pm
Dead battery. It was old. I replaced the battery yesterday. Car started several times just fine. This morning, no power. Disconnected battery, recleaned terminals and then reconnected. Started fine. Later this afternoon, no power. Disconnected battery; reconnected. Car starts fine. What's up?

We're renovating a bathroom and I need a heater that will really heat the room. We are doing a "wet room" design with plenty an open shower and tub. Suggestions?

re: Where to buy laptop in BR?

I just got a new one from Formosa Computers on Airline Highway. Mike will work with to get what you need, move everything over from your old PC and fix any compatibility issue that come up. Been dealing with him for years.

I was telling someone about that the other day. I took my kids to the levee to see the ice floating by. There were some pretty good size chunks.

Just made repairs and painted the outside.
Great folks!!!

DU Construction
My son and I built one in his basement several years ago. Bought the hardware kit online and the lumber locally. Came with a great instructional DVD. Did it over a weekend. I sleep in it every time I visit.

My air filter looks like it is being sucked into the return air duct. It's as if the blower fan is too powerful or the filter is too flimsy. Do I have a problem?
I need single tickets to the UCLA and Oklahoma games.
Must be located in the South End, Upper Deck.

Electric bill too high?

Posted by jctiger73 on 7/27/24 at 7:07 am
Entergy constantly advertises ways for you to lower your bill by being more efficient. What does this mean?
Entergy: "Follow our advice and your bill will go down."
Result: More money in your pocket, but lower profits for Entergy.
Entergy: "This is unacceptable. Let's make the customer pay for our lost profits."

I just went through there today at Noon. And I was thinking the same thing.

re: LSU at Notre Dame 1970

As an LSU sophomore, I watched this game in the gym armory on a closed-circuit television broadcast on a giant screen. We could hear nothing from the broadcast. Great atmosphere in the GA.
For me, a main consideration is how often the power goes out and for how long. I rarely lose power and the longest it has been is for 12 hours. I have a Black Max 8500 starting, 7000 running portable. It runs two refrigerators, an upright freezer, portable air conditioner and various other smaller things. I fill my 4 6-gallon gas cans at the beginning of storm season and I'm ready for about three days of no power. As a backup, my daughter has a whole house system, so we can always go there.
