re: How much PTO does your employer let you roll over?

Half your yearly allotment.
I get 200 hours per year and can carry over a max of 100 hours meaning I start with 300 next year + 24 hours of "personal" time.
Combine that with the 40 per year I purchase and I'll start January 1st with 45.5 days of time off

All of it. One of the few things I like about working in a hospital.

My employer let’s us rollover the entire amount with a cap of 240. I get 18.4 hours a month.

We can roll it all over from YtY. I just cannot ever exceed holding more than 30 days.

don't get PTO until after I've been with Wal-Mart for 12 months. Hoping to become the produce department manager soon to really rake in the cash.
you need to aim at the clothing dept.
that way you get first dibs on those bama championship shirts.
well, not this year, but maybe next year

240 hours. Having to take some days before the end of the year because I’m over

We used to have unlimited roll over, but they have been changing it over the last 3 years, and by the end of 2020, we can only carry over 80 hours.
Our benefits are continuing to decrease annually.

Why would someone downvote this?

2 weeks. It's BS. I used to love selling it back. It's now use it or lose. Thanks Obama.

Until this year it was 40. They adopted a "take it or leave it" policy, which hasn't turned out too great in year 1. Pretty much everyone holds onto their vacation for EOTY, but we're always busy at this time. I feel a "take it or leave it but you better not take it at the end of the year" policy is coming.

80 hours but I can sell up to 80 hours back to the company and get an additional check for 2 weeks pay, I use this option instead of rollover and take the rest.

Plenty - they just almost never approve PTO and frequently withdraw holidays at the last minute.

Can only carry over 40. I always have to take off most of December since I don't take full weeks very often except Thanksgiving.

48 hours can roll over

Being the resident government mooch, here's how ours work:
Annual Leave--240 hours can be rolled over (some positions are allowed a higher number).
Sick Leave--no limit
Credit Hours--can only have a maximum 24 which can roll over indefinitely
Other types of leave (time off awards, travel compensatory time) must be taken within one year of being earned or they are lost permanently.

40 hours, I use them in December rather than roll them over.

We can’t roll over PTO, Sick, or Vacation
Posted on 12/9/19 at 2:45 pm to Eli Goldfinger

I can roll mine over infinitely, I accrue 6.456 hours of PTO and 6.456 hours of sick leave every 2-week pay period.
I'm currently sitting on about 50 hours of PTO and 507 hours of sick.

We can roll over 120.
