I saw this on reddit and was amazed how little people were saying. Like 100 a month on all food. I spend around 1,200 a month (just myself and girlfriend).

$40/day for the 2 of you? That's a lot of restaurant eating.

Not very much. I cook most of my food at home.

About $800-900 including groceries for a family of 3. We mostly cook at home. We eat out for dinner about once per month and for lunch about once per week.

ETA - math was wrong

Groceries about $250, eating out about $250. I don't eat out though without coupons.

Probably a 100 pound virgin living on ramen and moutain dew.

We spend $100ish at the grocery store every week. Don't go out much during the week. Out to eat either Friday or Saturday to the tune of $60-100 depending on where.

I'd say in the $800 range.

It's just me and the wife. We spend at most $240/month on groceries and around $100-120/week on eating out, mostly on the weekends. So our ceiling would be $720/month

I spend like $250/month on groceries. I sometimes eat out on the weekend at $20 a pop or so. No more than like $80/month on that. If I go out for lunch at work it's paid for or I bring lunch. So, in total maybe $350/month total on food.

The way I see it, I'd rather warm my food up and eat in like 20 minutes or so and go home earlier than go waste time and money going out for lunch everyday. Client/team lunches obviously excluded.

$200/week at restaurants and $100/week grocery.

It's not that hard to get up to $1200.

I don't know how much we spend, it's too much though.

We don't go out THAT much, but when we do I can't get out for under $70. That plus Costco runs it adds up quick

That's way more than normal though.

That's either 4 times per week at a cheap ish restaurant or twice per week at a nice and more pricy restaurant.
