Every trip to Costco is $200 and we go 4 times a month. Blue Apron is like $100/month
So $900 on groceries
Why do you spend $200 on groceries each week if you have Blue Apron too?

Both. We'll go to filipe's for instance:
2 margaritas: 18ish
2 burritos: 25 ish
Chips and queso or something: another 5
Then we'll do something like Vincent's or Superior Seafood and that'll be like $150
Edit:
Appitizer/ sometimes soup or something
2 entree's
bottle of wine or 4 cocktails

To be honest, I’d say mine is roughly 350 groceries and 350 going out for just the 2 of us.

I mean, this is quite literally impossible. Canes chicken fingers and fries costs you almost 9 dollars. The same serving size if you were to cook it at home including the grease and breading would cost you probably $3.50-$5. The only thing that could explain what your saying is if you eat fast food and only cook Ribeyes.

Now, I'm not talking about eating at a steak house every night, but I also don't eat fast food.
This contradicts what you're saying.

With or with out my Ruth’s Chris gift card.
Prob $200/month on groceries and $100 on eating out. 3 of us in the household.

You mean $200/week?

I don't know the grocery prices where you are at, but I'm calling bs on that figure.
I'm in OKC. Definitely accurate figures, as I do the grocery shopping in our house. But my wife and I bring leftovers or a sandwich to work everyday. And we eat leftovers/whatever you can find about twice a week for dinner.
When you cook almost exclusively for a big family, there is a lot of food leftover, and I don't like seeing it go to waste if possible. And like I mentioned, we don't eat out much.

Again, don't know what to tell you, but the numbers bear it out. And I'm not the only person to have noticed it. I've read articles over the past ten years stating the same (for singles, not families).

Family of 4 (2 kids under 7) and we spend about $1,000 on groceries and around $300 eating out.
Posted on 3/21/18 at 10:19 am to geaux4a
We spend between $100-$150/week at grocery stores, and eat out maybe 3-4 meals a week.

Do y'all buy in bulk or just regular grocery store?
Posted on 3/21/18 at 10:24 am to Areddishfish
Regular grocery store. And I don't buy the same stuff all the time, if you buy what's on sale every week, you end up with a variety and it ends up being cheaper. Win win

No. I bring leftovers about 4 days per week on average. So does my wife.

ETA: deleted. No way I could ever keep up with only food related items as the grocery store is way more than that.

TP, paper towels, soap, dishwashing liquid, detergent, paper plates, ziplock bags, lunch meat, bread, milk, eggs, bread, shampoo, razors, dusting supplies, car wash soap, occasional steaks (outside of blue apron), drinks for kids, snacks for kids, cleaning supplies, charcoal for grilling.

Frankly, I am shocked at how low some of the numbers are on here unless you all are single.
Posted on 3/21/18 at 10:34 am to geaux4a
I'm single and don't like to cook much. Probably 200 a week or so but that's because I avoid fast food and just cook 3-4 times a week and eat at decent restaurants the rest of the time
