uh cook at home? The weekend is the best time to cook something good
Yea I meal prep all my meals for the week and 3 or 4 meals for the kids and the wife. But usually like almost always we go out or pick something up on Friday night and Saturday night.
I eat steak 3-4 nights a week though and usually 20oz or more.

Solo I’m spending about $400 a month now on it.. but if I end up wining and dining that number can definitely jump

Like 100 a month on all food
Probably a 100 pound virgin living on ramen and moutain dew.
We spend $100ish at the grocery store every week. Don't go out much during the week. Out to eat either Friday or Saturday to the tune of $60-100 depending on where.
I'd say in the $800 range.
That's about where I am by myself. Probably $400-ish a month (roughly $100 per week) in groceries plus another $400 to $600 in eating out. Chicago food is fricking expensive, and it comes with the territory. And the restaurants are incredible.

I guess my mind is blown by how much out of line my food spending is then most of the post in this thread. I get I eat a lot more protein than most and hardly do anything but fresh food, but I am way way out of line comparatively.
This is a bit my thing, so to speak, as well. I basically don't shop ever in the middle aisles at the grocery except to buy spices, soy/almond milk, and alcohol. Beef, bison, eggs, fish, other seafood, chicken, etc. just add up quickly for me. Also, spices. Goddamn, I bought saffron the other day for a French dish that's essentially a stew of halibut and shrimp, and goddamn, that shite is expensive. I like RX Bars, too, as my afternoon snack, and those aren't exactly cheap, either.
