My peak was 37

Best lift was 315 for 17 reps.

Now, when am actively lifting, I cannot do barbell bench (bad shoulders). I am good for alternating arms (left in raised position) dumbbell bench using the 110s for 10 reps. The pain I go through nights after chest is making me revisit my workout goals.

I now have more pain with back exercises as well, especially lat pull down and rows.

Alas, big bad boy days are ending....

I got to where I could do 5 sets of 5 reps, never tried for max reps.

Now probably once, if that.

Around 7 or 8 reps but unlike all these other people in here. I workout 5/6 days a week and bench 2 days a week.

If I took a year off I sure as hell couldn't walk up to the bench and rep 225 20 times. People in the thread are full of shite.

At my best in college I managed 19 reps.

Now, while I do still workout reguarly, and still lift. I dont go nearly as hard nor do as much heavy lifting as before. I would struggle to get it up 8 times I believe.

Maybe 2. I did 205 x 5 recently and it felt heavy. I mostly just do sets 135 x 20. Heavy weights fricking hurt me nowadays. Lots of strong dudes on the OT as expected.

So, what ice breakers do you even use then?

Most I’ve ever done was 32 reps, but that was 4 years ago before I had shoulder surgery.

I started doing barbell bench again later, but fricked up my other shoulder. Now it’s only Hammer presses and moderate dumbbell presses.
