it isn't the first head coaching job for a lot of coaches on that list.

brohm, smith, leipold, fisch and elko are straight killers with the jobs they've done.

i think this analyst they have is kind of a weirdo. he's a military s-4 guy(logistics), so the weirdo part makes sense. i believe he thought he was helping more than he really was.

Would you bet on Nebraska against MSU mate? I was already thinking of teasing them

nebraska is loaded and is one of the top spenders in NIL, coaching salary and facilities. we are way below the curve in wins vs expenditure.

You've never played, have you?

i can definitely tell you haven't.

Then why even try to steal the signs at all?
to make the other team have to change their signals is the main reason. can also catch a team a few times with it, but any descent coach adjusts to this in game. it's just part of what goes on during a game. i can see michigan getting some small advantage to cheating the way they were, but stealing signals is part of the game. it's usually more useful if a team get's their signals stolen and doesn't adjust, still have to stop the other team. it isn't a chess match, just has some elements of one.

we would constantly make jibberish hand signals just about every play. none of it meant anything. we'd have 3 or 4 guys making signals and one of em is the actual caller and that rotates.

These comparisons are idiotic.

it would be idiotic to think teams have a set of "second-half signals" they use all the time, would beat the point of changing signals. wth is wrong with some of you people. they should be punished for breaking the rules, but this isn't as big a deal as some of you are making it out to be.

GO BIG RED!

Nebraska can become bowl eligible for the first time since 2016.

with our resources, i hope we can take advantage of NIL and the transfer portal to become a competent program. 8+ wins a year and an outside shot of making the 12 team playoff every 4 years or so with a roster heavy on upperclassmen.

i don't think people realize just how bad we've been relative to our recruiting rankings(not elite, but much better than our record reflects), financial resources and facilities.

i freaked out when deboer took the uw job because we should've fired frost after 2020 or 2021 and could've had deboer. made a name for himself as a coach right in our backyard.

so thankful to have coach Rhule at the helm. i know we aren't set-up to be a perennial top ten type team, but this is a really big game coming up saturday. great to see the defense starting to live up to the blackshirts that came before them.

i think we can beat msu to get to 6 wins. also think we can steal one from maryland, wisconsin or iowa. 7 wins would be a great start to the coach Rhule era of Nebraska football.

Yeah, I’m sure Michigan totally doesn’t have the signs for their remaining opponents.

signs get changed at halftime in some d2 ballgames for cryin out loud. a LOT of teams go to different signals after half every week. michigan should be disciplined in some manner for breaking the rules, but the rules they broke aren't that big of a deal. it's not an issue at all to change signals one week before a game. it's common practice.

The craziest thing about this game is someone is going to leave with a win lol

if we need to turn the ball over multiple times in the red zone to win, so be it.

GO BIG RED!
the steers are gonna be a rough go, but that's a crazy game.

i remember standing on top on the cotton bowl concourse outside the press box for the game in 08'.

hope you guys pull it off.

BOOM! GO RAIDERS!

The Athletic did a study on recruiting stars and how they correlated to players drafted by the NFL and iirc O line had the lowest.

UW is seeing something similar as it's OL room is full of 4 and 5 stars and this has been a rather poor group.

more pronounced/potential physical development with people that size?

agree. csu lost that game because of being dirty.

still can't get over how bad their oline is. like, HOW is it that bad.
