Back in my college days, my peak was 28 times.

Now, in my 40s, I continue to work out but honestly can’t remember the last time I did old school bench press. More dumbbell and cable work. Was curious tho, since I’m overall in better shape now than in college, so have been working it in the last couple of weeks. Yesterday, I got after it and could only do 225 twelve times, and think the guy touched it on my last rep so prob more like 11. Getting old sucks.

What you got OT?

Peak around 20 times in my late 20s/early 30s. Now probably around 5-6. Do lighter lifting now.

So more than 75% of the players at the NFL combine? Sure thing guy.

If this is the health and fitness board, 9-10 times.

If this is the OT board, I usually get bored after 100 or so and just stop due to time constraints.

I'm one of those guys who has no idea what my max bench is currently, or at any other point in my life.

I did 12 yesterday but I didn’t push it. Doubt I could do much more because I was spent at 12. Only did 10 for the remaining of the set.

I've probably only lifted weights about a dozen times in my life. Always hated it. It's one of the main reasons I quit sports in high school. Pot being the other.

Step 1:
Lift Bar

Step 2:
Drop the bar on my head and die

So I guess 1/2 of a time.

Have you ever been called a “Try hard” because you are the definition of a Try hard.

I try not to max out when I lift.
