I think it matters if you are peddling some weight loss program but you are on a weight loss drug and don’t say you are.

Other than that I don’t care.

No diff than a roided up dude saying I look like this just doing pushups.

Girls throwing up to be skinny when their favorite celeb was ozempic.

You should just own it and admit you didn’t have will power and take a weight loss drug.

the half life is 5 days, a shot once every 7 days is going to have huge peaks and valleys.

Is that what bodybuilders are doing to cut weight these days?

We're super wary of medicine without long term study. M

The drug class has been out since 2005. Ozempic has been out for 7 years. We have quite a bit of long term data. Not to suggest every vain arse person out there should be on it, but too much bullshite misinformation is making people that need it wary about taking it. There is no medicine with zero side effects.

I'd bet 80% of the OT and/or their wives need to be on it. This board is the definition of fat acceptance. A big ole baw will tell us how he wears a size 40 waist but "just needs to lose 5 or 10 pounds"
Baw, you don’t get it. Everyone on the OT isn’t overweight, the BMI is just skewed because they are athletic. (They played football in high school 40 years ago.)

No one needs it. They use it in lieu of actually changing habits or self discipline.

Well, that’s technically true, but someone who desperately wants to lose weight, but can’t make themselves do it, is literally unable to lose weight without it.

My mom is long dead, but she would have benefitted enormously from this medicine.

I know, the wife had twins and wanted me to stop the diet because I was a solid 180 at 6'2. Lost some muscle mass in the process. She had to eat again and all the weight she lost came back. We just needed to get through the breast feeding so she could do it like we used to.

Thanks for the info on the meds though, its became such a talking point so quickly and popular that I assumed it was new.

It's not as bad as it sounds. At 19 I went from 280 to 180. Many years later I moved back to Monroe for family and lost my motivation. I think over those 3 years it was, got real bad at 307, dropped back down to 180. Stayed there for years until my wife got pregnant with twins and didn't want me to stay that skinny while she blew back up. Sitting at my normal 280, got the snip, and after we get back into shape once again, that's the last time I'll be at this size. When we do fast, I take a men's 1 a day, calcium, zinc, fish oil, b12, and a few others to keep my nutrients in check.

This is true. The chemicals that make you feel full are under produced by some and over produced by others. I have my mom on Ozempic.

More and more insurers are covering them. Ozempic is $650/month with co-pay card. Mounjaro is $550/month. Was $100 for Mounjaro until all the compounded shite started and people were paying $600.

People always want the easy way out. Wait til the long term side effects start showing themselves.

If actually diagnosed with diabetes it could be as little as $25 a month. Without insurance about $1200, according to my pharm tech. Some available coupons help. Medicaid is $0. Mounjaro $750

Like what, specifically? The drug has been taken, long term, for 20 years now by diabetics. What do you think will shock and awe people that's coming?

Magic pills are all the rage among those not disciplined enough to do it right. People dont care about side effects, if they can lose 25 pounds and it requires no lifestyle change.
