Same face as if an overweight person loses a bunch of weight without the help of medicine

Seems silly to call it ozempic face then

Go figure people look differently after they lose a lot of weight

I'd bet 80% of the OT and/or their wives need to be on it. This board is the definition of fat acceptance. A big ole baw will tell us how he wears a size 40 waist but "just needs to lose 5 or 10 pounds"

Guessing you weigh like 140

If you weigh less than 200 you’re not a real man

Nah. That’s why I have dated tall women: more area to distribute the weight. Less likely to get fat.

Nope. Wife has always been 5’9 and 120. Even after 3 kids. I like them skinny.

I eat from around 6pm to 9pm, exercise and don’t take any drugs. It’s crazy how well it works.

Not the "Ole Lady" but me. I take Saxenda, down about 35 lbs in a year. I eat breakfast, lunch then take my shot and fast until the next morning. Along with exercise - feeling great

Then why the long face?

Not ol lady, but my SIL. She's lost a lot of weight. But she is also doing a swimming exercise class. If it gets someone "out of the ditch", motivated, and feeling good about themselves, I'm ok with it as long as it's not long term. I'm guessing 3, no more than 4 months...? I'm wary of the long-term effects.

MIL got all pissy this Thanksgiving because my wife didn't comment on the weight she lost. She talked about all the healthy food choices she was making and sacrifices. Turns out she's on Ozempic

My doctor recommends it. She believes the adverse health from being over-weight generally are worse than the side effects. I have been on it with minor side effects. Am on one of the compounds now.

I was never obese, but have needed to lose a few for a while. I lost about 20 and want to lose another 20 with hopes of only gaining 10 back once I get off it. It is hard to lose weight when you like your drinky-drink every night. I am a whiskey guy that no longer sets an alarm to wake up. Bad combination for losing weight. Needed help to lose some weight with my current habits.

The ball and chain is in the medical world and she said she would not even consider it an option unless it was an extreme morbidly obese person using it to cut some of the initial weight. Everyone knows how bad the side effects are.

Yes some people cannot tolerate it because of the side effects but most people have mild side effects if any. I personally think it’s a great drug with numerous benefits. And no one in my family is on it but I know many people who are.

Same. It is only intended for type II diabetes
And nowadays these drugs get rush approvals, which means that the FDA doesn’t even review but 10% of the supporting documentation.

Doctors need to do better.

I have a niece who is very pretty, 38, and was about 15 pounds heavier than she wanted to be. She, and all her friends take it, and they are too skinny now. I think folks like her need to work out with weights if they are going to do that.

Same here. My nieces face has been getting noticeably thinner to the point that she starting to always looks exhausted. Just found out she is on ozempic. She's been vain all her life, so no real surprise. I'm sure all her friends are on it too.

You want to lose 40 pounds and you aren't obese? Are you 6'6"?

Mine was trying to get on it to just drop an extra, persistent 10lbs she can’t shed via normal means. The Dr’s all said her BMI isn’t high enough. Are doctors frequently putting normal(ish) sized people on this stuff?

I stay fit through exercise and caloric intake control, but you can bet your fat arse that if I needed Ozempic to lose weight, I'd take it too.

No one needs it. They use it in lieu of actually changing habits or self discipline.
