Friends and I will discuss problems here in there, but for the most part, all are pretty happy. I feel like divorce rate for people in the 25-50 age range will go down considering so many of them grew up with divorced parents and, hopefully, made better decision/waited longer.

Big pet peeve of mine is someone who constantly bitches about their S/O or nags them in front of others.

I wouldn't get rid of mine for a million dollars but I wouldn't give a nickel for another one of her

anyone who brags constantly about how happy they are in their marriage (especially on social media) have a 75% chance of divorce within the year. That’s a higher divorce percentage than wife getting fake tits (65%) and joint Facebook accounts ((60%)

The people I mentioned don't brag about it, it's just pretty obvious that they are.

Agree.

I see what you did there

ETA: most all of our friends are happy in their marriages, but we've all been married for 25-35 years. None of my friends bitch about their wives. It's such a bad look. Minor gripes, mixed in with humor, admitting our own faults....lots of that for sure.

If your friend is dumping his personal bullshite on you in your shared leisure time he is a shitty friend that you should cut loose. Tell them to go to a shrink and stfu and have fun. If they can't you need to cut them off. Their problems aren't your responsibility.

No one really ever knows what goes on behind closed doors
I can only speak about myself. I am happy to have never married yet.

It’s ok now since we have youngish kids to distract us. Once the kids are older it will become obvious we have very little in common. Quite frankly I doubt we make it 5 more years. It’s. It not toxic but it’s not blissful either.

Honestly, nearly all of them. Most of the wives in my circle are pretty cool people. One of my friends is married to a chick that's pretty high maintenance, but she's hot and treats him like a king. She just wants to be pampered in return.

We're ok. I could make a list of improvements I wish could take place, but then I'd add up how things would be otherwise and it would be pretty miserable without her.

FTR, my wife and I are the only ones of our combined siblings ( me 2, her 1) that are not divorced.

Me and all of my siblings have been married for 16+ years. My Sil has been married 8 times though.

Maybe… but you have no real clue how these dudes are behind closed doors with their wives.

I'm a newly wed so I'm not really qualified to comment, but my best friend is always bitching about his wife on one hand and the other hand talking about how they are getting ready to make another big purchase together on the other.
