My wife was a good cook. We’ve been divorced about 36 years.
I eat one meal a day unless I get on a breakfast kick. I cook well, but don’t usually feel motivated to cook a full “ spread “. Time to cook one though because it been a long time since I ate one. Over a year.

Primary bread winner and I cook. She does the dishes. She’s not a bad cook by any stretch, but it’s something I enjoy doing. Pretty much started right after college when I had the money not to eat $1 menu burgers anymore and became somewhat of a hobby.

My wife is actually a vegetarian and loves to cook everything. For someone that doesn't eat 60% of what she makes is great at it.

Shortened question
How many of you are married?(/still married)
Musta met em before the Joebama era. In 2023 it's like picking between a c-nt b-tch or b-tch c-nt, so hand wins. Can cook myself or pay somebody to cook for a cheaper price than getting a wife that can only boil spaghetti noodles and butter the toast, which she'll probably tell you to do it yourself. I'll do it myself alright...

with the power of the internet, anyone these days who can't cook is just being lazy

Random story.
Had family in town a few weeks ago. My brother’s wife wanted to help with breakfast.
She managed, somehow, to burn to a char an entire pound of Wrights bacon. Every piece. It was impressive.
I wasn’t there, but was cleaning the kitchen up in the aftermath and noticed she somehow managed to scratch the shite out of the entire glass top range.
I still don’t know how she managed to do it.

I enjoy cooking. It's my unwind time when I get home from work.
I'd much rather be in the kitchen cooking, listening to music, sipping on a drink, than helping my kids with homework ?
Exactly!

Lots of "men" here that "would rather cook" also probably work inside with the women

Mine stopped cooking once the kids left the house. Now her idea of cooking is heating some premade meal up.

Yes. Wife makes way more than I do.
I do 90% of the cooking at my house.

I get why single people may not be interested in cooking lavish meals or even in cooking all that often since it's just them, but I don't get how you make it to your 30s-40s and never have an urge to eat something even just a few times a month that's not a frozen meal or sandwich. Especially if you're someone that otherwise likes good food.

This was actually an ad campaign before the estrogen enriched era took over.....

My wife can cook, but I can cook much better, and I love to cook, so I don’t want her doing much in the kitchen.
Seconded.

Mine is a good cook and keeps the house clean and laundry done.
She refuses to iron clothes though so my nice shirts go to the cleaners I refuse to do it myself

Yep if they learned to do real work instead of just pushing buttons on a computer they wouldn’t have to worry about women making more than them

At first my wife couldn't cook but my mil never could cook... she grew into it. I couldn't really cook well either so we both learned and cook different things. I dont bake ... its like chemistry just measure mix heat, i nvr measure exactly so my baking sucks :)
