Whether they passed away or are still alive and are being quarantined and separated by their loved ones.

I have one grandpa left who's still alive and call him once or twice a week, but I feel so bad about him being by himself with no one in his family visiting him. I hope this corona crap ends soon just so I can give him a handshake and hug.

My last grandparent died 2 years ago. Had he still been alive now I’d dawn a mask and gloves and go visit him in a heartbeat

All 4 of mine are still alive, but I only saw them about once a month, so I'm not missing them.

Miss my mom’s dad daily. He was the manliest sort of dude you’d ever meet and such good company. He lost himself to Alzheimer’s disease which for us was so much worse than just passing on.

My grandfather was my hero. I’d literally trade a year off my life to go to a ballgame with him one more time

My grandparents aren't around anymore. But I can't go see my elderly parents and it's really annoying. My dad is fricking pissed there are no sports on to watch

I didn’t really know my paternal grandparents because they both died when I was young.

My maternal grandparents I grew up with and were much closer to. My paw paw died 10 years ago and my grandma 8 years ago.

Cannot believe it’s been that long and still miss them very much. I wish I would have had more conversations just learning about their lives when they were younger.

I do, but the OT keeps trying to convince me that old people are pretty expendable.

All 4 are dead. I miss my maternal grandma the most. She was a goddamn angel.

I never even knew my paternal grandparents. Grandpa died before I was born, and grandma died when I was 2.

One set, both in their 90s. I’ve been worried sick about them, but they seem to be happy and carrying on, just a little more cautiously. Made it thru the aftermath of the depression, immigrating from Prussia and Irealnd, and ww2, they refuse to live scared during the last stretch.

My uncle on the other hand lives in an assisted care facility. I used to pick him up every weekend for a home cooked meal and whatever sport was on Sunday afternoon. It’s been 2 months since that has happened. I have to drop off groceries at the front desk, residents have to have all meals delivered to their room, no leaving the apartment. That has to be terrible

Most of the OT not only thinks old people are expendable, they actively disparage their lives, their existence in total.

One can only hope those reach extreme age, alone, frightened, and no longer in control of their daily life, both longing for and fearing their impending death. Seems befitting since they hate the elderly.

My grandfather was a WWII veteran. I have his medals, ribbons, pictures, European currency, etc. Passed 2 weeks after 9/11. My hero as well.

I do. My grandmother is 96. I’m scared she’ll pass during all this and I’ll never be able to see her again.
