Rogan and The Rock made a good point that most good fighters will avoid a fight at all cost because if you win the other guy will either come back with a weapon or just sue the shite out of you.

Also like half of the population have now been trained, so you’re bound to get destroyed doing amateur hour shite.

Only a couple in my life.

The most memorable was downtown outside boudreaux and Thibodaux’s in where my friend and I effectively started a race war. Some black fellas spilled (crazy gf was screaming they poured a beer on me!) on my girlfriend at the time from the balcony so my buddy threw a beer bottle at them. Next thing I know it’s my friend and I vs about 5 brothas, we knocked one out then we got beat up. We were out manned but brawls started breaking out in the street everywhere. I had graduated that night and had my mom and dad there to see the whole deal. What a mess

Title IX. We had a pretty good wrestling team at LSU until it had to be cut to balance the Title IX scales.

When I was young, my old man made me promise to not do the things he had done. He said to walk away from trouble when I can. It didn't mean I was weak if I turned the other cheek. He hoped I would understand, that you don't have to fight to be a man.

Last one was in like 5th grade. As Thornton Melon said, I’m a lover. Not a fighter.

Never been physically punched in the face but I did get in one scuffle while I was in the Air Force.

I worked nights and got back to my dorm at 6am and saw a bunch of my coworkers huddled around a corner. They stopped me and another guy was running down the stairs with a camcorder and the dropped it on his way down. I had no clue what was going on, but apparently a guy and a girl were having sex in the hallway and one of the guys wanted to video it. They people in the hallway eventually went in a room. I didn't see anything happen. This comes in handy later.

A few days later, I get back from the club and I'm pretty tipsy. It's like 2am and I'm hungry as shite, have no food so I decide to walk all the way across the hall to the vending machines. I pass by some guy standing in front of his door and I ask him if he knew anything about the two people having sex in the hallway. All we said was that it didn't happen.

I went grab a drink and a bag of chips out of the vending machine and another guy walks out of his room and the other guy tells me "hey, tell him what you told me". So I asked him about the people having sex and the dude grabbed my throat and picked me up(I was about 150lbs and this dude was JACKED). I managed to get his hand off of me and he's screaming at me and now everyone is outside. He grabs my throat again and shoves me against a door and is choking the shite out of me. People get him off and my dumbass gets up and says "frick you! I got that shite on TAPE!"

He came back after me but the crowd separated us. I just kept yelling it over and over that I saw them fricking and that I have it on tape, etc. I went back to my room and locked the door. He proceeded to bang on it for what seems like forever but someone finally calmed his arse down.

The next day, he comes back but is calm. He told me he was sorry for what happened but wanted to know if I indeed had a tape. I told him I didn't but had heard what happened and I don't know why I even said that. He asked again about 3 more times if I had a tape. I had to reassure him I didn't.

We ended up becoming pretty good friends after that. Still keep in touch via Facebook.

Bunches as a kid if you count a few punches thrown devolving into a wrestling match. Not a one since I was 17 or so.

I boxed golden gloves from 10-12 and enjoyed the hell out of it..was not very good but neither was anyone at that age. I stopped about the time our coach, the county sherriff, expected everyone to box him without headgear. I was more scared of that man than I was a bear...and had seen many of those matches. He did not subscribe to the idea that adults should take it easy on kids LOL. He had a good point...as we got older any fist fights we got in would not include headgear or rules or an opponent taking it easy on us. Broke many of us from sucking egg....

Probably 5 but most as a kid in the 90s. Last one was with my best friend early in college about 25 years ago.

It’s been a long time since the last one, but quite a few until my mid 20s when I became a family man.

My son and I were just talking about various fights last night. He’s been in a few with most of them being against other guys in his unit. B

Several in High School and College. Very few as an adult. Yes, fighting is super Trashy for anyone who is above teenage level. I've been stabbed twice. Had a gun pulled on me once. I'd literally run from a fight now at 44. Not interested.

None as an adult. I did have to pull a pistol on a dude with a knife. He realized he wanted to live instead of die.

Fights are no joke. A few years ago on the beach there was a typical fist fight. One punch caught a guy the right way and it killed him. The guy got convicted of manslaughter from a Barroom fist fight. TV makes it seem more harmless than it can be.

We did box in varsity sports in high school. (3) 2 minute rounds. It was more exhausting than you can imagine.

"Way too many when i was younger and i am not proud of that.
I learned that getting punched wasn’t that big of a deal and that i had decent punching power so as a youngster, it just seemed fun."

Same answer for me. I didn't want to hurt anybody. It just seemed fun. So I moved it to the martial arts ring where it was legal with padded feet and gloves and head gear and mouth piece and cup. And when the fight stops you shake hands and smile and enjoy the camaraderie ( black eyes, concussions, torn MCL, broken ribs and all)
