10 or so from high school to the Army. Now I'm 6'7" 330 pounds and people usually don't want to argue with me let along fight me. Not that I let it get to that.

I'm afraid that I'm so far removed from fighting that I may actually get knuckle checked and embarrassed in front of my ole lady and kids.

Three as a kid:

1. Chinese kid at school wouldn't get off of me ... so I punched him out.

2. Smarted off to a Mexican kid about his "shitty bike," got a beat down that was well-deserved.

3. We were friends but he was a bully at times. Got sick of it so I punched him out. It was about a 70% victory. We got along much better after that.

When my SO was in 6th grade, some 8th grader named Tony jumped her (didn't like redheads) and was holding her down punching her. Some older kid saw it, yelled out "stop you little bastard" and ran over and beat the ever living shite out of the boy.

1 or 2 in high school. Then I joined the Marines and got into more barfights and barracks brawls than I can remember. Haven't thrown a punch in anger in 15 years probably now.

One. It was a 8-10 rednecks at a bowling alley in Texarkana. I made the mistake of standing over a guy I had just decked and gloating and didn't see it coming from his friend. The guy who (sucker) punched me lost his balance and we wound up wresting on the ground till it got broken up. The guy I decked lost a tooth and my parents had to pay some dental bills. My dad made me work it off in the summer at some sweaty arse yard mowing jobs.

Me neither. I was always a happy person when I was partying. Broke up a few but never actually was in one

before age 16, a few - after, none.

i fought a kid when I was 14, and i broke my pinky punching him in the eye. layed him out, and then his twin brother jumped in, knocked him down and he bit me on the leg.

was probly my last true fight.

in middle school a guy kept throwing rocks at me, so I told him to stop - he didn't, so I threw a chunk of concrete at him and fractured his wrist. got suspended, but not in trouble at home - dad was proud of me standing up for myself.

added bonus, others saw it and left me alone from then on.

Outside of the Marine Corps? One or two over some stupid shite.

While in the Marine Corps? I know it happened, I'm pretty sure boot brawls are a part of normal hazing, but I have no count because the drinking nature of the barracks is real.

I think about 5 or so legit fights post Marine Corps. Last one was 16 years ago…..which is how many years I have been sober.

Several as a kid and through HS and college. One of my best friends in school and roommate the first year of college liked to get really drunk and he would just act a fool. We got into 2 or 3 while drinking together but would be over it the next day.

I've only been in one as an adult. Was out at a bar for someone's birthday so there was a group of us. Some dude kept harassing some of the girls we were with on the dance floor and I went and asked him to stop since the girls had already asked him to stop. When I turned to go back to my table he hit me in the back of the head and hit one of the girls with another punch that I turned and ducked. That turned into a huge brawl that ended up out in the street. Security got it all broken up and let our group back in afterwards because one of the bouncers saw the guy hit a girl.

Last honest to god fight I was in (didn't want to be but he came at me, drunk as shite) ended up with me staring down the barrel of a .45 after I put him on the ground and said I didn't want trouble.

I put my hands up, backed away slowly and got the frick out of there.

Haven't been in a fight sense and don't care too. Too old for that shite now and people are crazy.
I don't go looking for trouble.

Now if trouble comes to me I'm giving it no quarter and I fight dirty. But I have no desire to. Just leave me be

This for me as well.

And those fights were generally were over me stealing someone’s gf.

Feeling a bewb then was definitely worth the risk & effort.

I was always the youngest in my class but fortunately I was OK on the growth and maturation curve.

frick being 12 years-old and in High School, I’m glad my parents told the school “no” when approached about double-promoting me.
