How long does it take to put your Christmas up?

We can get ours from the attic to set up in 2-3 hours. Tree and decorations, display around the kitchen/den/living room. I’ve put lights along the garden before, but not every year. That might take another 1-2 hours. Take down is about 1-2 hours. I’m glad that getting ready for Christmas isn’t a ‘chore’ that takes days, but something we look forward to on the Friday or Saturday after Thanksgiving.

3-4 hours for outside
8-10 hours for inside, non-tree items
6 hours for tree (real, 11 ft tall and 6 feet wide)
In other words, way too fricking long. But happy wife…….

With or without the trips to Lowes, Walmart and Hobby Lobby?

About a month and a half.

I lucked out this year- the first 4 strands of lights I took out for the tree all still worked. We have 1-2 in reserve, but didn’t need them.

Just got everything out the attic for my GF to put up when she gets home from shopping with her sisters and friends. Might go to bed bath and beyond. Not sure we have enough time though.

Outside lights take about 80 hours. I have a rather large display.

Wait….all of you put up your Christmas displays yourselves?

You people are stupid, if you just leave them up all year it's a lot easier.

Got most of the outside done yesterday. Haven't started inside yet

You move like molasses. 2 hours tops, assuming I don’t have to go to Lowe’s because half the light strands aren’t working.

Long enough. This year a bit less decorations but the core is up and looks nice. I hope that’s enough for the year.

Fake tree and inside decorations: 4-5 hours
Outside lights and decorations: 2-3 hours
Going to farm and cutting down real tree: 3-4 hours
10-12 hours of Christmas joy on the wife and kids faces: priceless

Outside is a solid 2 days but I put up a lot of lights. Inside is a couple of days, but not consecutively. Today we go cut down our tree, we’ll start decorating tomorrow after the limbs fall and get settled. I have a whole artificial tree of just Star Wars ornaments, so I’ve got to put that up too.

No idea. All I do is move boxes when asked and take her to get a Christmas tree. The missus does everything else. If you put all the time together that she spends, I'd say a week. She likes Christmas.
