How old are you? Do you really need the OT’s advice for every girl you meet?

Eh, don’t discourage him. His relationship threads are a nice change of pace from the all the Covid and BLM protest threads.

You need to text back asking if she has a sister then.

That's actually closest to the best advice you've gotten so far. Just don't go to that extreme.

Next time you happen to be around her in a social setting pay far more attention to her single friends than her. Tell her hello, and be nice, but lay it on thick with the friends. The guy, that she has you on stand by for right now, will no longer rank above you because he's too easy and you are now the bigger prize.

Always 100% a lie.

That is always just a solid no.

There is always someone they would date today if they could without any "healing".

Dating someone less than a year and “isn’t ready” to date after 6 weeks just isn’t ready to date you.

As Jack Johnson says, “often times maybe pretty much always means no”.

Only logical thing to do at this point is camp outside her bedroom window until she changes her mind and gives you a chance.

Sounds like she didn’t want to hurt your feelings, so she tried to flatter you and then lied about not being able to date now.

This is a No. Door closed on a relationship.

How badly will it hurt you to find out she's dating someone else (and probably has been for several weeks - possibly not exclusive)? If it would bother you at all, I suggest a 3-6 month separation is in order. No calls, no texts, no facebook, no hanging out as a group.

I think offering a date was the wrong move. You should have been upfront about getting physical to gauge her interest in you sexually. It's 2020, single women aren't shy about wanting sex.
