How far do you think we are from a major worker’s revolution in America?

Seeing the teacher strike has me thinking about this. Wages have remained stagnant for the past 25-30 years with only minimal wage increases, while inflation and price of goods & services has skyrocketed. The American quality of life has been going down since the 80s. It’s been an employer’s market for the past 10+ years also with the over abundance of useless college degrees, employers can offer Masters degrees 30k a year. Also, take that family vacation and your job just might be in jeopardy.

I’m not some Bernie voting communist cuck, but I do think it’s unfair to the American middle-class worker to get squeezed on both ends while wages remain stagnant. Probably because Im poor & trashy.

Kick out the fricking illegals and build the wall.. stop importing low skilled workers.. and watch wages go up.

It's not rocket science.

Inflation has been almost non-existent in the U.S. for over a decade.

You’ll hear no argument from me on that. End the welfare state while we’re at it. Don’t like it, move somewhere else...

Brilliant idea if you want every worker to be replaced with Mexicans.

We need to re-brand workforce training in this country. Trade school injection into HS curriculum is a must. Not everyone is best suited to go to college.

It’s hard for the people to come together on a single issue. When they’re constantly bombarded by the media and politicians with bullshite that doesn’t matter. The powers that be would rather us stay divided and continuously bickering amongst ourselves. At some point you would think the AMERICAN CITIZEN would wake up.

I think long term we're looking at some kind of living wage system of welfare for a huge portion of the population. I think most blue-collar type jobs and a lot of white-collar jobs in America will be made obsolete by technological advances and the availability of cheap labor globally.

I'm a conservative but not sure how that's avoidable.

The people (i.e. the market) should correct to the reality that college is costing significantly more money and time than it is worth for a large number of people in various studies.

Trade school needs to make a comeback. There is money and opportunity to be made in jobs that today's teenagers and people in their early 20s were often told in childhood are "nasty jobs".

Not really the point of the OP. Assuming debt and working 8-5 to satisfy it is the OP's point.

There’s a shortage of plumbers, electricians, carpenters, and basic general contractors

I hear the complaints almost daily from contractors..."i can't find any good help"i think part of it is lazy entitled millenials, but i also think that lack of pay is a big factor.everything has gone up in the last ten years except for the paychecks.

This is such a fallacy I don't even know where to begin. Let's just ask a few questions:

Did Americans need supplemental income when technology switched from steam to electric? Or when we made the switch from electric cathode ray tubes to the transistor?

Misguided cause. You want better wages, start with getting rid of the federal reserve bank.
