How does you guys feel about this behavior?

A coworker of mine runs to his car this afternoon to grab lunch and notices he has a flat tire. Realizing he still has a couple of months remaining of the roadside assistance plan that came with purchase of the vehicle, he heads back into our office and calls a towing company to drive out to our parking lot to exchange out the flat tire with his spare. He is 27 years old and more than physically capable of changing out a tire. He said he didn't want to get sweaty. Kinda a prick move if you ask me, even when you consider the towing company is getting paid for the work order.

If he's covered for a flat, I agree, let someone else get sweaty.

Sounds like he paid to not be sweaty and do manual labor, nothing wrong with it.

That's kinda the point of roadside asst....so you don't have to do it.

personally I thnk he is a pussy, but he did pay for the roadside assistance program so might as well use it.

Sounds smart. It's balls hot outside.

Was it free with roadside assistance? Why would you not take advantage of free work?

It's feels like hell outside. I'm not doing any outdoor work right now unless I'm getting paid for it.

He paid for the RA plan. That's what it's for.

I don't see a problem with it... your grammar on the other hand could use some work.

So he paid for roadside assistance but a prick for using it?

Sounds like the man is using a service to avoid a headache.
Ever heard "work smarter not harder" ?
If I worked in an office/desk job environment I damn sure wouldn't want to get sweaty and have to sit back at my desk.
Now if I didnt have the free service I would just change the tire at the end of the day, but I can't fault this guy for using his noggin.

Why waste your time when its covered? Sounds like a smart guy.

I'd prob change it myself only because I wouldn't want my car towed and then have to deal with waiting around for it to be 'ready'. Sort of why I change my own oil. But to each his own.
FWIW, I keep a hydrolic jack and 4 prong wrench in my truck and can change my tires in prob 5 minutes.
