I use to say this everyday.
But, the joy of tomorrow for me was simply over comming my daily addictions.
I felt a strength I had when I was able to resist each day. I felt I built momentum. Which is Crucial to continue a life long Campagin against your addictions that cripple you.
So the joy from conquoring the daily addictions, is the process. Enjoy the Process.
Im still in a fight with mine, every day, somedays I win. Some weeks I win. Some Months I win. Then I got to start all over when I get off track.

working out and honestly my personality is to immediately start developing a plan to fix the situation. i dunno if its military training, engineering background or what but everything becomes a series of actions that need to be done to fix the issues....if i do not do that...i start getting bad bad anxiety over not doing it.
sometimes my wife just likes to bitch and that part of me fricking annoys the frick out of her. most men are like this but for some reason mine is in over drive at all times.

For the “small” hard things…
Achieve something. Anything. Smaller the better at first. Stack them.
Make your bed.
Wash your car.
Read a book.
Run a mile.
Build positive momentum.
Of course, hard things can be unimaginably hard. Prayer. Get support. Move to Kentucky for Bourbon. Kidding.
