Base this decision on two things, pepper variety and usage. If you are using up a bottle of hot sauce in less than about 6 months or so, refrigerating will make no difference in appearance or flavor. If you are familiar with the change of color in hot sauces (the tend to drift toward brown a little) and you want to prevent this in a bottle of hot sauce that will take you a long time to use, putting it in the refrigerator will slow this change significantly. Part of the reason is the darkness of the refrigerator, part of the reason is the temperature (because is slows oxidation a little). Lighter the color of the hot sauce, the more likely it is to change color.
None of this affects flavor much at all and the hot sauce usually will not go bad as long as it is considered to be an acidified food and not a low acid content food. But as long as it doesn't say to refrigerate after opening, spoilage shouldn't be a concern.

t I’m not the kind of guy who wants to have someone beating their meat looking at her pics. I know how you degenerates think.
You don't know us that well if you don't know how desensitized we are from nearly 2 decades of high speed internet. We'd need to see her doing something pretty creative with that hot sauce bottle.

Left out I never put it in the fridge, but when I can't find it that's where I look because my wife (no pics) will always put it there.
My family never refrigerated mayo when I was a kid, we went through it so fast it didn't matter

Why would refrigerating an unopened jar of mayo require it to be kept cold if it’s never opened?

Leave it out. It gets really good when it starts to change color.

Hot sauce does not need refrigeration. I have 6 different kinds in my panty
That doesn't sound very comfortable.

Tell your wife to read the label. Almost all labels will tell you how to store it.
Almost all hot sauce labels say to store in a cool dry place. That means do not refrigerate or leave out in the heat.

all of my more expensive sauces say refrigerate. I have left them out on accident a few times and I was fine. definitely wasn't gonna throw them away haha.
this is very good
louisiana hot sauce and stuff like that definitely is fine just staying on the counter
In general, the more vinegar-forward a sauce, the less refrigeration needed. But in practice refrigeration always prolongs the life of the sauce. I keep about 12 hot sauces at all times so sometimes I will have a bottle open for quite a while

True, but can it affect the flavor?

should hot sauce be refrigerated or is it fine to put it back in the cabinet. I think it was fine to leave out.
