I'm fine with as long as Honda takes over and continues to make high quality cars.

As a Honda brand loyalist it concerns me that reliability will suffer.
I don't care much about cars, I'm just a point a to b guy but I'm loyal to Honda cause of their reliability.
Since my parents started buying Hondas in the 80s I can count on 1 hand the amount of serious issues they've had outside of routine maintenance.
Please don't ruin that Nissan.

I have owned three Hondas and four Nissans (one Nissan and three Infinitis). They have all been extremely reliable and easy to own vehicles.
I am all for this.

What if Nissan started making all of the products that Honda makes?
Imagine how many people would be stranded offshore with a Nissan outboard

Nissan's 3.7L naturally aspirated engine is fricking bulletproof

Changing the name to Datsun and making another 240z would be a great start.

Maybe Honda can help them build a bumper that will stay on an Altima.

Say what you will, but my Nissan Altima 4 cylinder cars are economical and have been extremely reliable.
I hope this merger will save Nissan.

You got that right. I rented an Altima for several days and was blown away by the fuel economy which was hybrid-like for an all gas engine.

With their powers combined they succeed in making the crappiest transmission ever...

That's harsh, but they will have the best in-car tech of any vehicle from the 90s.

Damn right. 103k on our q50. Solid as a rock. Fantastic engine.

Nissan has gone from an alternative to Honda/Toyota to an alternative to the bus.

And they are phasing it out in 2025.

The only six that's better is BMW's inline 6, but I totally agree

I agree with this. I'm a Honda fan-boy and hope they just stay as they are. No need to take on Nissan.

Thats is exactly why you see so many kamikaze 20 year old altimas driving around. You know they aren't being maintained.

I hope they leave Infiniti alone. My Redsport is my favorite car I’ve ever owned.
