Needs to be a crowdfunding effort to give the homeless bus tickets to beautiful California. Should be a big hit come this first heat wave.

I was out there with him this morning. This video doesn't show 10% of the condition of this area. Knowing we fund BREC to keep it like this is an absolute tragedy.

Back in the day that would have had kids built camps.
An older friend lives with backyard to BREC property. HIs sons, when they were younger hunted and killed deer, rabbits and squirrels in the 1980s

For the last 20 years I have told anyone who will listen that brec owns to much damn property in EBR parish.
People look at me like I'm the crazy person when I say this.
I believe that out of all the counties/parishes park systems in the country brec owns the largest amount of land here.
I understand the need for greenspaces in metro areas but this is plain abuse.
brec needs to get its' shite together and be a good steward of the Citizens, or if they can't then sell the land and focus on the parks where honest people actually go.

Sleeping in the cars makes sense. He must have meant they use the bathroom when sleeping in the car. You left that nugget of info out.

I swear it seems like some get dropped off periodically around that general area. I'll see groups of them loitering around then not much for a couple weeks, then suddenly more like someone bussed a bunch of them in.
