That should be expected, along with no forward facing garages. Which his neighborhood has, so it's trashy anyway.

I've seen much worse from HOAs.

The neighborhood isn't exactly a high dollar hood with manicured lawns. The houses/condos also appear to have some patina

I actively enforce the car rules in my HOA.

Cars always parked in driveway is trashy. If it wont fit in your garage then get rid of it or store it elsewhere

I support water balloons filled with killzall mixed with 24d. With a launcher and a little math, you can silently assault the HOA idiot's yards in the middle of the night.

Most of the front yards are asphalt pavement. They would probably appreciate your weed control

It didn't break the rules. They can't define moderately severe body damage anyway. Besides there isn't any body damage, paint is fit and finish not body. That's the equivalent of saying you have too much brake dust on your wheels.

my garage is my workshop. No need to build another building when I have a perfect space already.

I thought you lived in an old house in the city that had a garage too small to fit your car?

He lives in his mother's basement and takes upskirt pictures from the street-level window.

A million upvotes. frick people that can't manage their lives to the point they can't put their cars in garages. Throw shite away or rent a storage unit if you have to be a hoarder.

He can come to Laffy and deal with my HOA. The limp dicks can’t get speed bumps to protect our young children from speeders or provide surveillance video without a police report. But damn it! They sure can talk about who they think are “worthless neighbors”.

My take on HOAs:

If you look at the people who are HOA officers, go back and look at their high school yearbooks. You’ll find they weren’t involved in anything. They grow up, get themselves elected to an HOA, and they finally think they are somebody and get to run peoples lives.

The bylaws of the HOA in his Chesterfield neighborhood state vehicles with moderately severe body damage can't be parked in the driveway. But Lipka says his classic truck does not have body damage.

Looks is correct here. Does his house not have a garage? It must not. If it did, you would think they would ask that he parked it in the garage. People that claim to like classic cars, yet leave them open to the weather.... would not be my friend. Put your daily driver out in the weather and protect what paint is left on the classic. So, does he have a garage or not?

To his defense, sometimes "restoring" old things hurts or ruins their value.

People cherish the original paint or patina on antiques.
Truth but this can be a slippery slope.

Just saying, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.

I’m sure you love your truck, unfortunately the neighbors do not enjoy seeing it every fricking day, park dat shite in da garage or cover it you arse...

I don't give a single flying frick what my neighbors may or may not want to look at. You literally don't have to look or care about anyone else's house/property

That line of thinking is mind-blowing to me

I see both sides in this one. That truck can easily fit in a garage or be covered when not in use. That neighborhood looks like Kenilworth so let’s not pretend those are estates of Fortune 500 CEO’s.

They’ll find a compromise

They need to take this joker's house away and give him one to the temple.

I wouldn't want this whiteboy Sanford and Son mf'er dropping my property value with his junk hobby.

Body damage and faded peeling paint aren’t even remotely the same thing. HOA loses this one
.

And there is NOTHING unique about patina and trucks. Patina is critical to nearly all collectables. Want to kill the value of a rare antique furniture? Refinish it. That can reduce its value by 90%.
